Aaron Youngblood's hands are cuffed as he sits inside Lerdo jail, where he's being held without bail.

It's been two weeks since police officers arrested Youngblood when they found him sleeping in his truck in Northwest Bakersfield.

"They asked if they could search and I said no, they said why not and I said because there's been so many people in my car recently, I don't really know what's in here," said Aaron Youngblood.

Detectives say the arrest led them to a lot of stolen items, including guns, a Sheriff's department Taser, televisions, computers, iPhones, iPads and a half dozen different kinds of drugs.

In court documents, it takes more than 40 pages to list all the property seized by officers.

When asked why he needs all of those items, he replied, "how do you know I'm not preparing for third world? You know there's a lot of crazies out there. You might be talking to one," said Youngblood.

Investigators say Youngblood sold drugs and traded drugs for stolen property. They say a lot of that property was stolen from law enforcement officers, but Youngblood says he didn't steal it.

"If someone gives you something, and in your mind, they tell you I used to be a police officer, are you interested in any of this stuff? Yeah sure, I'm interested. You don't really think that person is going around stealing it," said Youngblood.

Youngblood was facing 11 felonies and four misdemeanor charges, ranging from carrying a concealed weapon to possession of narcotics. All but one of those charges was dropped Monday as part of a plea deal.

Youngblood pleaded no contest to a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded weapon.

"As a result of his plea the defendant is looking at possible sentence of up to one year in local custody, as well as being placed on felony probation," said Shani Jenkins the Assistant District Attorney of Tulare County.

I asked Youngblood if he thinks he got off easy because his dad is the sheriff.

"I'm accepting responsibility for my part and what I did. He's his own man. I'm my own man. I make my own decisions. And his makes his. I'm sure he loves me, but he doesn't like me. It is what it is," said Youngblood.

As Youngblood remains behind bars, his mother may lose her ear after being mauled by a Bakersfield Police dog.

Victoria Youngblood was asleep in her home on Easter, when police officers walked into her home to serve a search warrant.

"It's disgusting. It makes me sick to my stomach. And to be honest with you, out of all this, that's the only thing I care about. She's innocent of all my shades of gray," said Youngblood.

A backroom deal had to be made here that we were not told about. This is only my speculation. Donnie Jr. gets slapped on the wrists and Mrs Youngblood will not file suit against the police dog that bit off her ear. Junior can go back to his profession in less than a year selling merchandize that can kill or maim others. Another scenario is that this may be the prosecution’s way of getting even because they did not get the raise DA Green demanded for them just hours after taking oath of office. What a deal!

He isn't the only relative of our Sheriff who just gets a slap on the wrist. This has been going on for a long time. Any of you who don't believe in the local 'Good Ole Boy' network are either new to Bakersfield or very naive.

Isn't it illegal for a public employee in power to use his power for personal gain such as getting his scum kids off charges every few months? Maybe charges should be filed on daddy!
