The Sheriff's Department is looking into the suspicious death of a woman at an apartment in Oildale.
The call from the 800 block of Roberts Lane early Saturday morning, came in as a possible overdose.
But, when an investigator with the Coroner's Office arrived, they noticed possible trauma on the body of 42-year-old Laura Ann Dawson.
Homicide detectives were called, but no further details were released.
An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.
