Excellent comment proudamerican. And you are almost 100% correct. Except there is no such thing as an ex-felon. Once a felon, always a felon.

O.K. boys and girls, time for a lesson on the law. The deputies went there to conduct a parole search. And how does someone get on parole? You get released from a state prison with certain conditions. And how do you get sentenced to a state prison? You get convicted of a felony. And what toys can felons not possess? That's right boys and girls--any type of firearm or ammunition. So this weapon was taken from a prohibited person--an ex-felon. The search was legal, the charges will stick, a gun in the wrong hands was removed from the street, and a bad guy is back where he belongs--where he can't hurt law-abiding citizens.

The charges will not stick. You can buy SKS rifles at any of the local gun stores that carry them. They are NOT illegal. A high capacity magazine is NOT illegal to own either. This is just the LIBERAL D-Bag Media trying to turn the people against guns.

So if the Government takes away our right to bear arms, guess who will be the ones WITH guns? Yep, the street gangs that the assault rifle was found from! Take away our right to bear arms and we are sitting ducks for the thugs. Just glad the parole search found the assault gun and took it out of the WRONG hands. Thank you Deputies for a job well-done! Merry Christmas!

You may be able to own them You can`t purchase them but you sure got to register them High powered weapons that have been declared illegal to purchase by the state but were purchased before the law went into effect Have got to be registered or they are illegal

Since when are "assualt weapons" illegal? And contrary to popular belief.... high capacity magazines are NOT illegal. you can own them legally, you just can't purchase any more of them. Liberal media is working hard to make us think the way they want us to.
