A Taft teenager is dead following a rollover accident on Taft Highway. The California Highway Patrol says 16-year-old Shaye Lee Fields was driving a 2002 Volkswagen Beetle Friday night eastbound on Highway 119 when she lost control of the car.
The car had veered off the roadway and overturned west of Airport Road on the south side of Taft Highway. Fields who was ejected, was taken to Kern Medical Center where she died.
