A dog who was flown to Kern County from Orange County is on her way to a better life. Diamond was flown on a private plane from Long Beach to Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue in Tehachapi.

For the past year, two-year-old Diamond lived in a car. She's had a rough life filled with abuse and medical problems but, once she joined Marley's Mutts, it wasn't long before she found a loving family.

"This family came forward after a couple of weeks. They followed her on Facebook, came up to visit and the kids fell in love. They fell in love and they were willing to take a chance on her breed and really just judge her for who she is as a dog, rather than the breed," said Zach Skow with Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue. "For everything to come full circle, and to have her be in a home she will be cherished for a long time is beyond our expectations."

Diamond is resting comfortably with her new family in West Hills in the San Fernando Valley.
