A family is mourning the loss of a young, pregnant mother killed in a crash in Lost Hills. The CHP says 22-year-old Erika Ybarra was on Lost Hills Road, over-corrected and lost control, rolling her vehicle.

Ybarra was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. Her two-year-old daughter suffered minor injuries.

"It's hard to believe it's her," said her brother-in-law Fernando Higuera. "She was a very happy person. She was pregnant and now we can't meet our nephew. It's just sad but she's going to be loved and we'll miss her."

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

How sad! If only she had taken the 10 seconds to put on her seatbelt, she may have been here today! God rest her soul and the soul of her beloved baby. May this be a reminder to all of us to buckle up and drive safely.
