Of course its criminal wrongdoing!! The nurse refused to even look for someone else to perform CPR. She wouldn't even ask anyone! I don't understand how any of the nurses that were present wouldn't help this lady as she was suffering. How can any of them live with themselves?

I'm assamed to say I live in Bakersfield. This is about the moral obligation of every person to do everything possible to save a life. This so called nurse was obligated to provide assistance not just because it was her duty as a nurse but because it was the right thing to do as a human being. Very bad, very very bad!

I don't understand how a nurse can turn the other cheek to save a life, and can her license be compromised for this?

I think every human being should have to morals to perform CPR. If i had a relative living in there I would be pulling them out right now! This makes sick!

Nurses are required to renew CPR every year for licenses. We are required to stop and administer CPR to strangers in emergencies and are covered by the Good Samaritan Act. If we do not assist we can be sued. Why a nurse on duty would ignore the Hippocratic oath taken is beyond me. Fire the nurse. The nursing board has control over the license and requirements. We are to heal and serve.

Why would you even call 911 if your just going to refuse to do as instructed. This nurse should never be allowed to handle patients ever!

Was the nurse the original 911 caller to begin with and of course the nurse is trained in CPR but she might be aware that this person has a DO NOT RECESSITATE ORDER ON THEIR PERSON AS WELL AS POSTED ON THE BACK DOOR OF THEIR ROOM FOR THE PARAMEDICS AND OR PERSONAL TO TAKE NOTICE OF AND RESPECT. Come on, do a better job! This is the reason why I watch CNN or any other news before Bakersfield news. On this issue...why haven't you asked the obvious question.

The Media here in Bakersfield is reporting something totally different then CNN,WHole in their story MAKes for good viewing by the Public.Bring Judgement the Nurse.Exactly what they want.

Report is the woman wasn't breathing well. Report didn't say she had stopped breathing altogether or she had no pulse. It sounds like this story has a few holes.
