Bakersfield police are looking for the driver who struck and injured a man on east California Avenue then kept driving.
The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. Thursday night near Washington Street.
Witnesses stopped and spoke with investigators. Police say the man was crossing the road when he was hit, possibly by a 2011 or 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt.
He was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
