PG&E is inviting local residents to learn more about the demolition of the Kern power plant on Rosedale Highway.

PG&E and a demolition contractor will answer questions Tuesday evening concerning the demolition and cleanup project. There also will be people on hand to discuss the future of the site.

If you'd like to attend tonight's open house, it starts at 5:00 p.m. at Columbia School on Mondavi Way.  It is just off of Brimhall Road between Calloway and Coffee.

Sure hope they do not build any homes near this old site, worked around this area all my life and this ground will never get back to the way it was! This place will be the new cancer center of Bakersfield!
