Students at a Northern California high school are mourning the loss of four teens killed Monday in a car crash on Highway 58 near California City.
Three members of the same Oakland family were killed in the crash that also took the life of a fourth person and critically injured a fifth.
Investigators say 19-year-old George Moa was driving an SUV west on Highway 58, when he lost control three miles from California City Boulevard.
The car rolled several times, ejecting two people.
In addition to George, David and Maria Moa were killed along with 19-year-old Rachel Fisiiahi.
At Castlemont High School in Oakland, classmates and friends are still reeling from the news.
"They were some good caring people. They worked hard. They had respect for everybody, no drama whatsoever. Everybody loved them. It's always the good ones that gotta go," said Luka Mausi, a family friend.
"We was like brothers on the football field. We understood each other. We was the quiet guys in the back, always cracking jokes and stuff, and I really love him from the bottom of my heart," said Atoni Sunia, friend of David Moa.
Friends say the five teens were on their way home from Las Vegas when the accident happened.
The name of the person who was injured in the crash has not been released.
