Exactly one month before election day, a new poll shows Republican Mitt Romney has pulled ahead of President Obama. A Pew Research Center poll conducted after last week's debate says Romney is ahead of the President 49 to 45 percent nationally.
Both Democrats and Republicans say internal campaign surveys following the debate show Romney cut into the lead that the President had built up in many key battleground states.
But, they claim Mr. Obama still has an advantage in most of them.
