I'm a cancer survivor of stomach cancer and am pleased that someone at least thought of choreographing an event in Kern County. Although I think the ticket prices are steep (and the average working person will not be able to attend, let alone a cancer patient with a lot of financial responsibility), the Effort is nice. Thank you to whomever was trying to do something nice in Kern County for a good cause. Love Life, Appreciate Kindness, Live Well. Sincerely, Kenya Capers

Wow, some of you need to start your own event to raise $ for Kern county cancer patients. Bet you wont raise more money than FIGHT FOR LIFE did!

Even people in unsophisticated Bakersfield know that an anti-cancer event and a cigar lounge do not mix. Who thought of this?

Apparently serving alcohol, and cigars (all high cancer risk factors) is the only way to raise funds from the wealthy...Promoting horrible health habbits is not the way to go for a CANCER fundraiser. You are either against causing Cancer or against it.

Workinghard- Everything raised at this event goes straight to charity. All the money they spend to put this event on comes straight from Leslie's and the sponsors pockets.

As a breast cancer survivor I would love to attend but there is no way I could afford it. I will stick to relay for life!

A cigar bar at a cancer event? Really? Are they having to put out a lot of money to pay for this extravagant event and the leftovers go to the charity? Sorry, I'm just sceptical anymore about how much money actually goes to the charity itself and how much is spent on other stuff.
