BAKERSFIELD, CA - You may notice a lot of red around town Thursday. Dozens of local women will be at several intersections in Bakersfield, starting at 6:30 am wearing red to kick off Heart Month.
They'll be out at Stockdale Highway at California Avenue, Oak Street at Truxtun Avenue, and Stockdale Highway at Coffee Road.
They'll be at several other intersections through noon to raise awareness and help battle Bakersfield's number one killer, heart disease.
National Wear Red Day is February 1.
