Thursday night, the coroner released the names of an elderly couple from Shafter who died in what officials say appears to be a murder-suicide.
Claudine Saulsbury, 84, and Johnie Saulsbury, 86, were found dead inside their home on Walnut Street Thursday morning. Police say family members went to check on them, and found them.
Officers say the woman was stabbed and the man hung himself in the garage.
