We now know the name of a Bakersfield man killed in a crash on 7th Standard Road.
The CHP says 34-year-old Alejandro Hernandez-Saldana of Bakersfield was driving this red Miata down 7th Standard Road, just east of Highway 43, around 8:30 Sunday night.
Officers say he lost control of the car, over-corrected, and drove into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
Hernandez-Saldana died at the scene.
According to the CHP, Saldana was not wearing a seatbelt. It's unknown if the other driver was injured.
