The Kern County Elections Office says there are more people voting early in this November election compared to 2008.

According to the elections office, 174 thousand ballots were sent to voters. The office has received 59 thousand ballots so far, that's slightly higher than 4 years ago.

48 percent of those ballots are from Republican voters, 35 percent are from Democrats, 14 percent are from minor party voters, and 3 percent declined to state a party.

If you still need to vote, you can mail in your ballot, drop it off at the elections office, or cast your ballot at your local polling place on election day.

Officials predict a similar turnout as in 2008.
