Two men arrested in connection with a shooting in Edison went before a judge Monday afternoon.

Jose Luis Chavez Valencia, 43, and Martin Carranza, 44, were supposed to enter pleas, but their lawyers asked that the hearing be postponed.

Apparently they are having trouble confirming one of the men is who he says he is.

Detectives say the two men are responsible for the shooting deaths of 17-year-old Misael Gallegos and his cousin 22-year-old Israel Gallegos.

According to sheriff's deputies, both were killed Wednesday after several men stormed their home with rifles and handguns.

Four other men are still wanted in connection with the shooting.

If you have any information, you're urged to call the Kern County Sheriff's Department at 861-3110.
