Meeting on Bakersfield's bike path plans

Those who use Bakersfield's popular bike path know that sometimes cyclists and pedestrians battle over right of way.

People will have the opportunity to tell city leaders Thursday night what they think should be done about it.

A public meeting will be held to address establishing rules and installing signs. Officials also want to hear whatever else concerns local residents about the pathway.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at Franklin School Auditorium, located on Truxtun Avenue across the street from Mercy Hospital.
