Bakersfield police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in east Bakersfield Tuesday as possibly gang-related.
Officers received a call about the shooting near Virginia Avenue and South Robinson Street around 9 p.m.
When they arrived, officers found the Samuelle D. Waddell, 18 of Bakersfield, on the sidewalk with several gunshot wounds.
Waddell was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Witnesses say Waddell was riding his bike when he was shot.
"We live right here down the street and we heard no less than ten shots, said Vincent Morales. " We came out here and saw a kid on the ground and called 911."
