Christmas came bright and early for some needy families in our community. A Bakersfield family has made it their mission to give back to the less fortunate every Christmas.
The Vallejo family handed out meals on Baker Street in Old Town Kern. It's been an annual tradition for the family for the last 15 years. The family got up early, and handed out tamales, rice, and beans to those who may otherwise go without this Christmas.
The family handed out about 25 dozen tamales as well as clothes and toys.
