The local actress who had a role in an anti-Muslim film that is causing chaos around the world, is suing the movie's producer.
17 News has learned there will be a lawsuit hearing followed by a news conference in Los Angeles on Thursday with actress Cindy Lee Garcia of Bakersfield and her attorney.
In the movie, "Innocence of Muslims," Garcia says she was told by the producer, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, also known as Sam Bacile, that the film was about life n ancient Egypt.
But, the lawsuit claims her and other members of the film crew were tricked, not knowing its true theme which was mocking the prophet Muhammad.
Google and YouTube are also named in the lawsuit for invasion of privacy.
Garcia wants a permanent injunction removing the video from YouTube.
She says after the movie was released, she received numerous death threats and is in fear for her life.
