Oldfart and murph are right. Bakersfield is a garbage pit. Go to a park and see all the dirty, nasty diapers, paper plates, and God knows what else after a weekend. What is truly pathetic is that all this garbage will be sitting 10 or 20 feet from a garbage can. They can carry it all in but can't walk a few feet to throw it away. It is a lifestyle lived by people who are lazy and have everything handed to them. My tax dollars pay for their welfare and now my tax dollars have to pay to pick up after them. A couple of times I have pulled off by the Kern River to try to enjoy the scenery and ended up just getting back in the car because it was so disgusting. Again, nasty diapers, empty beer cans, dirty paper plates and junk food wrappers. Even a dog knows not to crap in his own yard. I guess that can't be said for some people.

This is great for the city what about the rest of the County? CalTrans is paid handsomely for their positions, where is all that money going ? They currently show 138 job opening per their website... no landscape maintenance workers just a supervisor.....Seems to me years ago they were audited about their "positions" they were getting monies alloted for and not filling ? we all need jobs too.... http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/jobs/vacancy.htm

Got a point Oldfart, the other day while at Carl's Jr this Mexican boy walked in hardly about to speaking English order his food with his EBT card and while he was walking back across the street to the car wash on White lane and Stine he was throwing his trash down while he walked! It's a life style to these people!

It's great that this trash is going to get cleaned up for now, but it will all be back in six months! Sorry to say but it's the way these people coming here live their lives! Anyone that has been that has been there ever notice how Mexico looks? It's one big trash dumb and they just wish to feel at home! Visit a nice clean local park at the beginning of a weekend and then revisit after these people leave at the end of the weeken! It take the city crews sometimes two days to clean up the mess before it starts all over again!
