The sweet sounds of legend Roy Clark filled the Crystal Palace Tuesday night.

This was the first time Clark performed at the Crystal Palace.

Clark is known for co-hosting "Hee Haw" with the late Buck Owens for more than 15 years.

In 1986, the famous pair parted ways as Owens started his businesses in Bakersfield.

Thank you Morgan :-) Maybe I'll be more proactive and actually take a look at his tour/concert schedule this time. Now that I've given it some thought, I realize that is what I should have done in the first place. But I hadn't even thought of him until around 3 days ago, when I was remembering my Mom listening to him when I was a child. I remember her commenting that she thought he was 'sexy' LOL! The memory made me smile, and I went to YouTube and found videos of him singing my favorite songs. The fact that he was so 'fresh' in my mind sort of caused my 'knee jerk' reaction, and I ended up 'venting' in my earlier post :-) So wish me luck ... maybe I'll find him giving a State Line, or Vegas performance late enough in the year that I'll have time to save up and go :-) God Bless!

My ALL TIME FAVORITE! If I had known this talented artist was going to bless Bakersfield with his SWEET voice, I would have been front and center to witness it! Sadly though, we residents of California City, are not allowed to receive BROADCASTS from local Bakersfield television stations, AND the Bakersfield Californian NO LONGER delivers their daily paper in California City! We are KERN COUNTY RESIDENTS, with NO ACCESS for Kern County/Bakersfield news or advertisements! I for one (and there are many OTHERS), SAY IT IS not fair! I've wanted to see this man sing in PERSON every since I was 11 years old, and because of something called 'syndicated exclusivity', I missed my first (and probably only) opportunity. I, like many others, can't afford to hop on a plane and FLY to where ever he is performing (mostly Branson, MO). It just really disappoints me ... okay, I'll stop 'venting' now. But I'm still really sad I missed him :-(
