FYI a federal court determined that the State prisons were overcrowded and ordered the release...since new prisons cannot be built due to lack of money and/or local support for prisons in their area - its time to prioritize criminal prosecution so truly violent criminals are not released-close the revolving door and to treat drug use rather than penalize it with incarceration. There are solutions to the current overcrowding situation however the justice system must be willing to accept its own shortcomings; lack of money and adequate infrastructure.

Well the people of this state voted Brown back into office, most knew what kind of job he did the first time and now they know why he got voted out the first time! As for all of these convicts, forget the courts,if they violated parole send them all to a tent city which the sheriff should set up out in the middle of no mans land! Send our great sheriff out there to watch over them all also!

This isn't possible, didn't Gov. Brown clearly state that his realignment and early release program WOULD NOT increase the burden on the local monies, jails, courts, PD's, OR place any additional risk on the law abiding residents of the State!!! Now someone has lied to us, and based on reports from not only our area but most other counties in this State it seems to me those lies have/continue to come from Sacramento. There is no hope for us with people like we have not in State office.
