This is my Brother and his girlfriend. He was never a legal tattoo artist. He has never had a job in his entire life nor has he ever put in the slightest effort. They had a great place to stay until his girlfriend started a fight with our sisters because they were on drugs and decided to start screaming at my mother after she had offered them a place to live, bought them the car they are "sleeping in", fed and clothed them for almost a year. And to top it all off, they are not sleeping in their car. I was at the place thy are living TODAY. The reason they can't make it is because instead of spending money on a place to live and food to eat, they use it for meth and pot. This is absolutely disgusting. Don't believe everything you hear.

satc3456, regardless of what they say to the news reporters, they DO NOT want to work. Many have mental health issues. Just like oldfart has.

Instead of standing on the street corner, why don't they go to a temp agency to try to find work? It mentioned he was a tattoo artist, but what does she do for a living? Why can't she go find a job? It is very hard for me to feel sorry for people who don't save money in they were to lose their jobs.

You two old men need to research the definition of "panhandling". Maybe that will help you understand. But as usual, you won't, and you will both remain confused.

Sorry DR999 Standing holding a sign soliciting for money is panhandling and doing this at any public place is illegal in most states including California! As the Sgt at the BPD stated a few years ago, it's a misdemeanor to do so!

Panhandling is illegal in the state of Ca as most other states, it's illegal to panhandle or beg for money at public places for private use! There law on this, as for BPD someone ask the wrong person on this one!

oldfart, you are easily confused. Panhandling is approaching someone asking for money, or accosting them while doing so. Just standing there with a sign asking for money as people drive or walk by IS NOT illegal, unless they are within 500' of a freeway on/off ramp.
