Guilty plea in drug bust case

One of four men busted in an undercover drug sting in Bakersfield entered guilty plea in Federal Court Tuesday. Thai Hoang Nguyen entered the plea.

The other three men,Sokha Bhopal, 50, Vath Lim, 34, and Davinder Singh, 41, were found guilty in three week trial. They were arrested during a Bakersfield drug sting in September.

During the drug bust a million dollars was confiscated.

Authorities say the men were involved in a drug trafficking organization that was buying cocaine in the U.S. and trafficking it to Canada for distribution.

At the time of the arrests, detectives told 17 News, 80% of the money confiscated could be returned to Kern County for Narcotic Investigations.
