NBC's "Biggest Loser" and a local farm have teamed up to bring awareness about eating healthy.

Featured in Monday night's episode, carrots from Grimmway Farms, the world's largest carrot grower.

It's always a challenge to get kids to eat the fruits and veggies, and it's even hard for many adults to get the proper nutrition they need.

But, Grimmway farms "grab and go" snack food marketing campaign is bringing the baby carrot into the health food spotlight.

To encourage a healthy diet, Grimmway Farms partnered with "The Biggest Loser" to create specially marked packages of the company's baby carrots, featuring a "Biggest Loser" sweepstakes.

"We're trying to find a way to get people, to encourage consumers to eat more healthy and make carrots part of their diet. We partnered up with the "Biggest Loser" Resort and are giving away three grand trips to the "Biggest Loser" Resort for two," said Bob Borda of Grimmway Farms.

Grimmway markets its carrots as crunchy, tasty and easy to grab when heading out the door or packing your lunch with single-serving foods.

The baby carrot was invented in southern California and has been refined by Grimmway Farms for decades.

The weather in Kern County allows for year-round farming of the delectable veggies.

And, partnering with the TV show is not just about product placement, healthy diets and living is the common goal.

"It's the perfect 'go to' vegetable. It's high in Vitamin A, Beta Carotene and it provides a lot of fiber," said Borda.

In our healthy living, healthy eating culture, packaging and marketing healthy choices like baby carrots in an easy grab and go way and what some call our next fast food revolution.
