I managed to save hundreds on my fuel bill. My friend gave me some tips and pointed me to this website - http://green-energy-at-home.com/wp/save-1200-on-your-gasoline-bill and it gives all the help you need to save on gasoline prices.

Leave The Peoples Republic of California and enter a state in the United States, there's no price hikes occuring. Las Vegas is selling regular gas as low as $3.55, Phoenix as low as $3.43. Both of those markets were getting their gas from California refineries, maybe still are, so why such a price difference?

I don't know where they get their numbers from. The Chevron station on the corner of Brimhall and Coffee sold regular gas for $4.21 on Monday and this morning (Thursday0 it was at $4.65. That would be $.44 in less than a week. Also, the gas prices initially did rise after the refinery fire and they said then that they had a shortage in the reserve. Then there was a subsequent story that there was more in the reserve than they thought. Frankly, I just think this is how the consumer is jacked around by big oil. They can charge whatever they want and because we have to drive (at least I do as I live ten miles from work and not on a bus route) we are stuck paying. I also wondered if there was a political connection. But no matter what, California will vote Democratic so I doubt it will hurt Obama any as far as the California vote. However, it will mean more out of pocket for the consumer for gas as well as food etc. When people don't travel the hotels and restaurants will also be affected. All around a bad situation for California on multiple levels.

Several things that may be causing this “gas war”. (1.) Today is the one-year anniversary of Steve Jobs’ passing. (2.) The President is coming here to campaign. (3.) The election is next month. The pundits who are causing this want to embarrass the President’s decision to kill the Keystone Pipeline. And what better time than on Steve Jobs’ day who was the epitome of lying, conniving, take all the credit, and outright thievery?
