Just reviewed the new GET bus routes. An express bus taking the freeway from BC to Valley Plaza and back is a good addition. New routes conveniently keeps bus riders away from elitist jewels like Riverwalk Park. Castle and Cooke and Bright House have to appreciate that. Gaping holes and inefficient routes abound. No reason to ride from White and Gosford to Olive and Coffee on your way to BC. All high schools have coverage except Stockdale and Bakersfield Christian, of course. Definitely keeps riders away from anywhere west of Gosford. Poorly drawn. Basically school bus routes now. A bus is supposed to take people to AND from places. Saying no one rides from the Southwest totally ignores those who need to ride to the Southwest. GET of the efficient spin and make the bus system effective.

Ginny,GET is not discriminating,they are telling the truth.Do the math,no one in seven oaks is riding the GET bus,maybe a handful of people.And if everyone and there momma on the eastside is riding the bus then where does it make more since to focus all your time,gas and money....Dont get your feelings hurt so easy...

Talk about a pompous statement out of Golden Empire Transit...'upscale Seven Oaks'. Excuse me, but in other words, since you view an upscale area as a location that needs no service then you obviously don't need their tax dollars to operate. If I lived in that area I would be taking that statement to the City Council and demanding a decrease in my tax bill. Is this how Golden Empire views everyone who lives in what they consider a decent area? Pretty blatant discrimination to me.
