The ceremony was held Friday inside the Board of Supervisors chambers. Thirty people received new titles as captains and engineers, Including 3 new battalion chiefs, James Eckroth, Steven Pendergrass and Corey Regan. "Our firefighters we promoted today(Friday) studied hard, earned this promotion and they're going to step in their new ranks and do a phenomenal job for all the citizens of Kern County," says Fire Chief Brian Marshall.
