We had a problem of a neighbor who had some pits that terrorised our neighborhood they had a hearing and I told the city that "THEY WERE PUT ON NOTICE" that these dogs were vicious and that if anyone was hurt from this point on I promised a lawsuit against the city! The dogs never came back but were put down!

This family should head out to Costco and pick up a video security system and install it in their backyard. They aren't that expensive and any activity/damage/threat by the dogs could not be denied by the dogs owners. Then provide a copy of any videos to not only Animal Control but also the Police. If that doesn't get something done then head on down to small claims court and sue the max amount every time the dogs get in and impact your ability to use your property and are a threat to your safety. The video eliminates all deniability on the dog owners part. As for Animal Control, unfortunately their hands are tied by all of the laws and regulations that they are force to follow. I had a nasty Rotweiller next door to me and got hit by the same laws this family is up against and I went thru the laws/regs line by line. What a bunch of muck. If I hadn't had my video, I would still have the Rot next door, but instead he was removed as a dangerous animal and will never bother anyone else again.

I have dealt with animal control in this town, all they will do is seen these people a letter in the mail of which they throw away! They only way to handle this is to shoot the dog next time, problem solved!
