Fair ride malfunctions, leaves riders stranded

A fun-filled time for some Kern County fairgoers turned serious Saturday as one of the rides malfunctioned, leaving riders stranded upside down in mid-air.

This article claims the riders were hanging upside down for 8 minutes, I was there and at the most they were hanging for 2 minutes before the operator was able to release the hydralics and get them right side up.

Do I hear law suits being filed? No one was hurt but will bet there will be those standing in line wanting $$$$. Even spectators will be expecting their share of the $$$$ for emotional trauma.
