According to the CHP, holiday traffic and the rain may been to blame for a deadly head-on crash on Interstate 5. The crash happened after 4 p.m yesterday, just north of Lerdo Highway.
Officials say a silver Hyundai heading north crossed the center line, colliding-head on with a southbound Chevrolet pickup.
Authorities say the driver of the Hyundai, 65-year-old Manuel Perez, Jr. of Bakersfield, died from his injuries.
