A Delano man is expected in court today after an alleged DUI crash this weekend.
The crash happened on Mast Avenue, just north of Woollomes Avenue Sunday night. Officials with the California Highway Patrol say 32-year-old Pedro Laforteza was driving drunk when he lost control and veered off the road, rolling the car.
His passenger, 19-year-old Ross Concepcion was thrown from the car. She was taken to Kern Medical Center where she later died.
Laforteza faces three felonies including vehicular manslaughter, DUI causing bodily injury, and DUI .08 alcohol with bodily injury.
