Unfortunately we can put up all the signs in the world. The drivers need to obey those signs and have some respect when they drive. I don't know about Delano, but in Bakersfield the drivers are horrible. I think people have forgotten that driving is a priveledge and not a right and with priveledge comes responsibility. This also applies to law enforcemen. They are some of the worst when it comes to using blinkers, stopping at stop signs, etc.

When my son and his family lived in San Antonio, the first thing I noticed was that at every school zone there were speed bumps, flashing ligts, multiple crosswalks, no phone zone signs, and the speed limit starting 2 blocks from the start of the school zones that brought the speed down to 10 miles per hour only. CA needs to start looking at taking multiple steps to protect our children. Seems like we take very few cautions for them.
