Former Realtors David Crisp and Carl Cole will go to trial in a little more than a year in connection with a mortgage fraud case, a judge ruled Monday.
The trial is set for Jan. 28, 2014 in Fresno.
Crisp, Cole, and seven of their family members and former colleagues face multiple mortgage fraud charges. Prosecutors accuse them of scheming lenders out of tens of millions of dollars.
The case was last before a federal judge in October of 2012. It's been deemed a complex case by the court, meaning there are multiple defendants and mounds of documents and evidence that have to exchange hands. As a result, the case has slowly crept through the system.
