BAKERSFIELD, CA - Do you notice a lot of trash around our city? Tuesday, a Bakersfield committee will discuss how to cut back on the city's litter problem.

One option is to take money from Caltrans and other sources and have homeless people pick up trash along the freeway. Another plan requires certain businesses like fast food restaurants and convenience stores to pay an extra annual fee to the city.

The City Council's Community Services Committee will meet Tuesday at noon in the new city hall building at 1600 Truxtun Avenue.

Well if Obama didn't need the votes to get re-elected we could start deporting again, but no he promise them all that they can stay! An as for living in NE you see less BPD maybe it's because most of the NE is county not city! The sheriffs don't get out much!

I guess I live in a better part of town because I just got back from running errands. I drove about a ten miles in the NE. I saw one CHP. I had the dog; we stopped at the park. It was litter free. The illegals out here must be picking up after themselves at our local parks because they are much better kept than the freeways and open fields. I'm really surprised you now want to blame law enforcement.....awhile ago it was EBT card holders.........actually I thought you'd be blaming Obama!

I see law enforcement all the time, I can't drive more that 5 blocks without seeing two or three in the southwest but I never see them stopping anyone, just driving around talking on their cell phones!

GeoBoy, And who is going to do that? How often do you see law enforcement? They are already short handed. This is so large of a problem you need the National Guard to really solve it. Look at our highways and vacant fields.

Take away their EBT card would help! Enforce the laws on all of these illegals would help, ever been to the local parks on a weekend and seen who is making the mess?
