BAKERSFIELD, CA - Do you notice a lot of trash around our city? Tuesday, a Bakersfield committee will discuss how to cut back on the city's litter problem.
One option is to take money from Caltrans and other sources and have homeless people pick up trash along the freeway. Another plan requires certain businesses like fast food restaurants and convenience stores to pay an extra annual fee to the city.
The City Council's Community Services Committee will meet Tuesday at noon in the new city hall building at 1600 Truxtun Avenue.
