wow well good luck. the whole town is corrupt taking money from middle class to make themselves wealthy. Business's, are the worse.i haven't found one honest person in this town. grocery stores, they jack up prices so people can use wic to buy grocery's. Everything is so dishonest. lawyer charged me 2,000.00 for a restraining order 10 years ago when i found out it's free if u do it yourself. mechanic's, landslum lords charge alot and don't takecare of residents problems. politians are the worse, so where do you turn for help? there is no one. real estate got what they deserve because they are vultures waiting to make a quick buck, they bought and sold so high no one could later afford the mortgage. please i am so disappointed in the human race. our resources are running out because you have all these people that are here illegally and bakersfield has no resources left because they are giving it to them because they have 10 kids. i see the wic line in front of the wic buildings and it makes me sick. but if i need food i have to have a child or pregnant. f%$% u who think you want to know why. well there u go you want to know more just look around you. Banker's don't have a say in nothing because they are out to get every penny from our pockets. bail out for banks just made it worse for us. stupid is is what stupid was!how about car dealers i won't get into that!

The meeting was here only to stroke us and repeat perhaps the nastiest deceiving 4 letter word in history "Hope"

Not once did I hear a reply about how this paid commmitee may handle this plea "How are quality citizens supposed to rescue their house/buy a house when: 1) their home must be three months behind in payments to qualify for help, if it even happens at all. 2) good credit is gone if payments aren't made on time for those three months. 3) credit scores are extremely hard to repair as we all know. 4) loans will be heavily scrutinised in the future. Maybe their answers lie in the test of time. Gather all the pertinant data, and make some educated suggestions, and come up with a plan of action. The establishment of a basic personal secured line of credit (regardless of past transgretions)for the small business person in the future will be the answer to finding the quality citizen base needed to begin to rebuild our banking industry. Only then will sound banking makes sense. Right now we need a plan with answers, for todays problems, not a plan for the sound banking of tomorrow. I mean who do these people work for anyway? The U.S.Citizens, or do they have interests in the banking industry that already had their jobs saved by the bail out? Surely not, as they seem to have the genuine interest of the American Citizens of Kern County at heart. The banks all had their feast, now let the blue collar guys have a shot at the American Dream, right?

So what is the cost for this federal commission? What happens to their report once it is complied? The feds are not fooling us, they already know what caused this mess, why the smoke screen? Lets get back to resonsible government and the only way to do that is to get responsible people elected.

I found my way to the meeting, they saw our faces and felt our voices tremble. I think they (the commitee) really did a good job in getting the facts after the last few years of this towns suffering. Future 1st Ward City Councilman Marvin Dean put on a great fight for the blue collar man. My family was not as affected by the economic downturn, just tightened our belts at the right time I suppose. I like Marvins charisma, I think I will join his crusade.....
