You can help Kern county road be more bike friendly.

The Kern Council of Governments is working on improving bicycling throughout the county and has developed a draft of its Bicycle Master Plan and Complete Streets Recommendations. The plan recommends improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities that would be implemented over the next 20 years.

You have a chance to review and comment on the project.  The workshop is Tuesday night at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1401 19th Street, Suite 300.

Public comments may also be provided by going to www.kerncountybikeplan.com

The deadline for comments is July 6.

With traffic getting like LA and bad streets in Bako we should have to worry about bikers. They have the bike path.
