City council members provided an update to the 24th Street widening project.
Nearly 700 letters were submitted for public comment. City members say they plan to use public comment while moving forward with the project. Some of the topics discussed Wednesday night included adding cul-de-sacs to the north of 24th Street, but not the south.
Right now, there are three project options - expanding 24th street to the north, expand it to the south, or make no changes at all. Council members say as of now, the plan to expand 24th Street to the north is favored.
The public comments will be submitted to Caltrans to decide which of the three alternatives should be included in the final environmental document.
