Audrey Chavez, the founder of the Bakersfield AIDS Project and Ricky's Retreat, is in the hospital and needs blood donations. Now friends of Chavez hope the community will donate more than blood.

Sorry lady is ill. Insurance will not pay for blood but sure donations will take care of that. Doesn't she have insurance for medical bills
