New details in the shooting death of a two-year-old twin girl in east Bakersfield.
Police are still looking for a blue Lincoln Navigator SUV and at least six people who took off after Monday night's shooting.
It's a sad and somber day in the neighborhood, as people trying to make sense of and cope with the death of 2-year-old Kamya Denise Robinson, an innocent victim shot during an argument.
"I didn't know what was going on. I just ran outside to see what happened, and everybody told me the twin got shot," said Marrisa Perez, who lives next door.
It happened Monday evening at the intersection of South Robinson St. and Virginia Ave.
Police say an argument between two groups of men ended with shots fired.
Kamya was playing in the front yard of a house when one of the bullets hit her in the chest.
Now a memorial sits in front of the home, with people coming from all over the city to pay respects to a little girl they didn't know.
"It's sad, you know a 2-year-old child's life just taken like that. I can't even imagine what her mom and her family is going through. My heart goes out to them, and I just wanted to give the family my condolences," said Deana Goldman, who was mourning the tragic loss.
Police are asking for your help finding at least six people who fled the scene, four were in a dark blue Lincoln Navigator SUV.
