$44,000 and still counting! That's the latest figure from Wednesday's day-long Children's Miracle Network mediathon.
"True to form, Bakersfield came through, Kern County. To each and every one of you, thank you so much on behalf of our children. You made a huge dent in the health care that we're going to be able to provide to our local kids," said Lourdes Nilon, Manager of CMN Hospitals at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.
It was an incredible show of support for CMN, Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, and the Lauren Small Children's Medical Center.
All of the money raised stays in Kern County and will be used to buy specialized equipment to enhance medical care for local kids.
