Bakersfield man speeding, killed in crash

A Bakersfield man was killed Sunday morning on Highway 99. The CHP says 66-year-old Ivy Whitmire was speeding when he lost control and crashed into a tree.

alcohol is only the cause of an accident in about 2 percent of all collisions, why the need to emphasize alcohol,why ?

If the accident happened just before 12pm, which is NOON, why does the reporter say it happened Sunday NIGHT? No wonder KGET news is falling in the local ratings.
