Well if they are going to be slow to respond, than they can't get upset when people start taking the law into their own hands now can they?

Wasn't going to comment but since DR999 has a hard on for me I will lol. Don't waste your time calling 911 in the city, it's just that, a waste of time. Take care of it your own way. If the wanna-be cops won't show for a crime against you why should they show for when you commit one? Lock & load, leave the cops to their donuts, coffee & to cheat on their wifes lol.

Tomatillo: That's an argument you need to take to those who are controlling the money--the Bakersfield City Council and the Kern County Board of Supervisors. I'm sure both the police chief and the sheriff would love to be able to hire more officers, but they receive their money from the politicians. I'd rather see more cop cars driving around my neighborhood than to have more government hand-outs to people who sit on their butts all day.

BPD is to busy driving fast, not using turning indicators, to get home or go eat. Also hanging out in parks( YOKUTS ) with other BPD,just wasting time.

It's a crime that our prison system doesn't keep these criminals locked up in the first place! It's also a crime to keep someone on death row for years, that room could be put to better use! The only upside to the local police having a slow response is when they do get around to showing up all they need is a body bag since the people of this town has decided to protect their families and homes and let the police department be the trash collectors!

It's a crime that the City and County don't hire more police and sheriff to make our city safer.
