There are reports that Tuesday's violence in Egypt and Libya may be connected to an internet movie that portrays the Muslim prophet Muhammad in a derogatory way and that video has a Bakersfield connection. The internet video is considered blasphemous by Muslims and a Bakersfield woman, who had an acting role in that movie, is shocked to learn it may be tied to the murders of four American diplomats in Libya.

Her name is Cindy. She lives in Bakersfield and asked that we not use her last name. She has a limited role in the internet video, "Innocence of Muslims."

The video was reportedly filmed in Los Angeles County. Scenes in a 14-minute trailer seen on YouTube portray the prophet Muhammad as a sex-crazed buffoon. Cindy appears in a scene talking about giving her daughter to Muhammad. Cindy is shocked at the video she's seen and says she was unaware of the director's true intent for this movie.

"Of course I was angry, upset. I first saw the trailer, I was confused. I was like what did he do to this movie?" said Cindy who acted in the movie.

The movie is filled with dialog that would anger most any Muslim but is it what triggered two attacks on U.S. diplomatic buildings Tuesday? One in Cairo was spontaneous, impassioned, and harmless. The other in Benghazi, Libya was focused and deadly.

Among the four Americans killed, U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, who said this about his new post, "I look forward to building a prosperous and Democratic Libya."

Emad Meerza is President of the Islamic Shoura Council in Bakersfield and says the movie is incendiary. He has seen the movie and says it was meant to incite anger within the Muslim community.

"By doing this, they know they are offending to the deepest level. It's more than cursing your parents, your children. It's the worst thing you can say to a Muslim. So these are people that understand that and that's what they are trying to do," said Meerza.

As for Cindy, she has these words for the man who created the movie, Sam Bacile. "Sam, I would say to you, I thought you were a different kind of a man. You caused a war. You caused a war and I think that you really need to take this up with God. That's what I have to say to you, Sam."

Cindy tells us she thought she was playing the role of a mother in a movie about how life was 2,000 years ago compared to today.

The working title she was given for the film was "Desert Warrior."

It was a coordinated military attack on the anniversary of 9/11. The media wants us to believe they attacked because of a video to protect Obama. He orchestrated the Arab Spring and it is a disaster over there.

“Innocence of Muslims” is a third rate everything. Bad script. Bad acting. Over all, a very bad production!! You can see the dessert scenes were CGI’ed. I would have been very embarrassed to tell anyone that I had part in that abortion, “Cindy”. You may have placed those around you in jeopardy for such a moronic piece of crap of a movie. Moustapha Akkad who produced movies about Islam and Mohammed, but best known in America for the “Halloween” franchise, was killed in a terrorist bombing in 2005. Akkad was Muslim, killed by supposedly Muslim freedom fighters. Something to think about and shut you pie hole, “Cindy”. In “Cindy’s” defense, though, actors are given a script and a “working title” that is subject to change and rewrites. And yeah, the scene where “Cindy” is in was done in front of a ‘green screen’. The background and the actor (????) who played Mohammed could have been added in post production. Anything is possible in movie making, including this sorry piece of (SSStuff).

Is it OK for the muslim people to post/film/write intolerable things about America and/or Christians. But Ok for hem to kill innocent people because of this small video? Most of the time it is just another excuse for them to act out their anger in a mis placed fashion, as it is accepted in their country, and approved of by the majority in this country. What a contradiction. And we still send millions over to them.

Yeah, I don't buy that they were duped. Even if the dialogue was changed, they all would have done the job anyway, even Cindy. Its impossible to get an actor not to take any role, no matter how stupid, when they are young or unknown. They will do anything for a chance to get on film. Such prostitutes, but they will call it art, or the pursuit of their craft, bless their hearts. Like hookers though, the actors are victims, pawns, this time in an evil and costly attack by a racist producer on a people that everyone knows is already agitated, on edge, in the midst of turmoil, or eager to protect the image of their faith and its leader. The world saw the violent reactions to that Danish comic strip and the Quran burning, so this outcome was foreseeable. We have made great strides toward building democracy and peace in the middle-east, and lost a lot of lives to do so. Hopefully this too will pass and we can get back on track.
