I just hope that we are not heading back into some building boom that will end in another burst bubble. We should learn from history but we never seem to do so. I am glad things "seem" to be recovering but am worried that once again banks will loan to anyone, people will over extend themselves and we will have another big mess. Like I said, we never learn from the past and seem to repeat the same stupid things over again.

Just who are going to be able to buy these new homes???We have empty house's sitting all over Bakersfield.! They get trashed. Same thing could happen to new homes. Unemployment still up & will go up again soon as farm workers get laid off for winter & extra holiday workers get laid off.

Towery is the one who wanted the city to continue waiving the fees paid by home builders that goes to pay for infrastructure. That went on entirely too long, even during the boom. Next time you are stuck in traffic or hitting potholes thank that guy!
