Federal agents and officers with the Bakersfield Police Department made a large drug bust in South Bakersfield Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say they've been watching this building on South Union Avenue for about a month.

Inside, they said, they found between 500 and 1,000 marijuana plants.

They said they also found a large amount of marijuana that had been dried and processed for sale.

"The estimated street value is between $2 million and $4 million, based on the final count of the marijuana. It's still ongoing investigation," said Det. Ben Herrera with the Bakersfield Police Department.

Four men found inside the building were detained by police.
