The battle over Arizona's immigration law is heating up following a judge's ruling this week.

The sheriff of Maricopa County is conducting immigration sweeps, despite a court-ordered hold on the new immigration law.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he's enforcing two other state immigration laws.

Thirteen people were arrested yesterday on warrants and other criminal charges.

A federal judge's ruling wednesday put parts of the law on hold, but lawyers for Arizona's governor have gone to court to
overturn the ruling.

Even our corrupt politicans agree that the immigration issue is a hot topic and a mess; they just don't have the nerve to do anything about it! Hooray for the gov. of Arizona and sheriff Joe. Even if we enforse the laws that are already on the books, we could dramatically reduce the problem.

Any employer who is caught hiring illegals should face $100,000 fine per person, per occurrence, plus life in prison. After they are dragged ten miles down a gravel road by a pickup truck.

"Thirteen people were arrested yesterday on warrants and other criminal charges" So he should have just let these people go even though they had already committed crimes such as idendity theft & hiring people that are not legal to work. Top it off that the people that were arrested were working on a US military base that trains military personel to work with top secret documents. Just they type of people we need on our streets & have access to military documents huh?

So let me get this straight..... the locals are trying to remedy a problem that stems from the federal imbeciles not doing their job and when the locals finally start doing it for them you think the feds need to come put a stop to it? wtf?

F**K MANIFEST DESTINY SCUM. I hope he confuses a Mexican American for an illegal. If it were me I would sue his ass. Illegals, sock it to the Americans. Any way you can. I will hire you and support you.

right on, I hope to see the illegals giving up their JOBS to AMERICANS!!!! The only reason the US allows IMIGRANTS into our country is for political assylum. Mexicans are in no way in threat of being killed. They seem to have the nerve to stand on our courthouse lawns protesting in which they don't have the right to do!!!!! Nor do they have a say so on who "we" as Americans not green card citizens, elect as president. Nor do they have a right to tell us we have to let them continue to take our jobs away from our high school and college kids, heck with todays economy any American. They always say they are doing the job that US lazy Americans won't do. No, we will. we just DON'T like to be threatened or intimidated by their spanish speaking RACIST remarks. We don't want to find our bodies in the fields. SO There. RACISTS IS WHAT THEY ARE, AND COWARDS THEY CAN'T STAND IN FRONT OF THEIR OWN GOVERMENT AND PROTEST. COWARDS!

The only sheriff we're getting is the one we have. If you're related, even by adoption like Jordan, you can do whatever you want and get away with it

Guts are gonna get him charged with a federal offense; contempt of court! D.C needs to send federal marshalls to AZ before this nonsense gets out of hand! Phoenix is likely to become the next Fort Sumter!
