It looks like the 24th Street widening project will not move along as quickly as some had hoped.

According to the city's weekly memo by City Manager Alan Tandy, the final environmental report for the project won't be out until next year. That means residents will have to wait a little longer to see if 24th Street will be expanded to the north, expanded to the south, or not change at all.

Caltrans and the city collected feedback on the controversial project over the summer and those comments will help decide which of the three alternatives should be included in the final draft.
